Senior Field Applications Engineer (Ethernet)

Location: Saigon, Vietnam; willingness to travel to customer sites required, with 25–50% travel.

What you will do

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support for high-speed wired connectivity and communication infrastructure products.
• Advise strategic customers on system architecture, technology selection, product integration, and design decisions.
• Conduct architectural and schematic reviews, product training, and design-in support through post-production.
• Troubleshoot embedded-system designs using Ethernet, USB, networking, and related connectivity solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, customers, and internal engineering teams to drive design wins and support product adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of relevant design or applications experience in embedded systems, hardware, software, firmware, networking, Ethernet, or semiconductor technologies.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed digital technologies and interfaces, including Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, high-speed SerDes, or SoC architectures.
• Experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP, network analysis tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump, and Linux networking.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for 25–50% of working time.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PCIe solutions.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication protocols.
