Salary: $122,250–$176,583 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and apply multiscale computational models of complex diseases using detailed biological and mechanistic knowledge.
• Support model-informed drug discovery and development across the R&D portfolio.
• Survey scientific literature and define physiological processes, mechanistic elements, data, parameters, and assumptions for models.
• Analyze preclinical and clinical data to inform modeling activities.
• Evaluate simulation results, improve model performance and accuracy, and maintain detailed development documentation.
• Communicate modeling predictions to key stakeholders and collaborate across scientific disciplines.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in systems pharmacology, biology, computational biology, systems biology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• PhD candidates require at least 2 years of hands-on experience with disease, mechanistic, multiscale, or QSP models; Master's candidates require at least 4 years of relevant industry or pharmaceutical experience.
• Proficiency in mathematical modeling using differential equations.
• Experience with MATLAB, Julia, and R; MATLAB is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to learn pathophysiology quickly.
• Onsite work in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States is required.

Nice to have

• Machine learning experience.
• Knowledge of immuno-oncology or neuroscience.
• Experience developing and applying QSP approaches with increasing responsibility and independence.
• Drug discovery or development experience, especially in pharmacometrics.
