Sr Director, Clinical Excellence Group Lead (I&I) (AI)

Location: United States - Massachusetts - Cambridge. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100, plus a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical scientists supporting the Inflammation & Immunology dermatology portfolio.
• Oversee clinical integrity, scientific quality, patient safety, study delivery, and operational excellence across complex clinical programs.
• Drive portfolio planning, lifecycle management, resource allocation, and enterprise operating improvements.
• Partner with data science, digital, technology, regulatory, medical affairs, clinical operations, and business teams.
• Lead the adoption of AI/ML, automation, digital tools, and advanced analytics across clinical trial design and execution.
• Provide senior clinical oversight for protocols, clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, escalations, and external opportunity assessments.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree required; PhD, PharmD, or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive clinical research and development experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
• Experience supporting global clinical programs in regulated GxP environments.
• Proven people leadership and cross-functional influence in complex matrix organizations.
• Experience applying AI, machine learning, automation, digital tools, or advanced analytics to clinical development or operational workflows.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in Inflammation & Immunology dermatology.
• Experience with organizational change, digital transformation, real-world data, digital endpoints, or decentralized clinical trials.
• Experience in portfolio strategy, resource planning, financial modeling, or business analytics.
