Senior Principal Design Engineer (Physical Design)

What you will do

• Implement high-speed interface PHY IP physical design.
• Develop scripts and tools to improve the physical design flow.
• Complete project implementation tasks and resolve design issues.
• Develop checks and flow improvements to prevent recurring design issues.
• Analyze PPA optimization methodologies and results, then implement optimal parameters and flows across projects.

Requirements

• BS degree with at least 9 years of experience, or MS degree with at least 7 years of experience.
• Strong digital physical design experience covering floorplanning, CTS, STA, physical verification, and power analysis.
• Solid background in circuits, electronics, and physics, with willingness to learn new technologies for cutting-edge process nodes and advanced design methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Perl, C shell, TCL, Makefile, or Python.
• Familiarity with EDA tools such as Innovus, ICC, Calibre, Tempus, and PrimeTime.
