Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Virtual, United States; applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Salary: $127,100–$160,000 plus benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud platform solutions using modern architecture and infrastructure automation.
• Build and manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, version control, and GitOps practices.
• Monitor platform reliability, performance, availability, redundancy, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cloud operations and application engineering teams to align platform capabilities with workload requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, document architecture and procedures, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related software engineering, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; alternatively, 4 years of experience with a master’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud technologies, scalable platform architectures, and reliable infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, Ansible, or Groovy.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins or Travis CI.
• Understanding of GitOps, networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the hirify.global Aura platform and related technologies.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Experience supporting distributed applications, microservices, and highly available platforms.
• Experience improving reliability, reducing manual effort, and streamlining engineering workflows through automation.
