Principal Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Set technical direction and own the architecture of major product and platform areas.
• Build hands-on solutions for reliability at millions-of-tickets scale.
• Design evaluation and quality systems for AI agents.
• Define tooling, guardrails, and feedback loops for coding-agent workflows.
• Lead ambiguous, high-stakes projects from initial concept through production across the stack.
• Improve engineering quality through design reviews, mentorship, and high-quality code.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience shipping software, including staff- or principal-level engineering experience.
• Experience setting technical direction for a product or platform and taking responsibility for long-term architectural outcomes.
• Experience leading ambiguous, high-stakes, cross-stack projects from a blank page to production.
• Hands-on experience using coding agents as a core development workflow and forming opinions on effective team adoption.
• Experience making other engineers better through design reviews, mentorship, and technical example.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TypeScript, React, Remix, PrismaORM, NestJS, or Python.
