Principal, Visual Design

Location: US remote; roles open in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Salt Lake City, and San Diego. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $96,200–$145,855 USD annually for a 40-hour workweek.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor creative teams while fostering collaborative and proactive working practices.
• Define and implement visual and conceptual design strategies across websites, branding, UX, and content.
• Develop strategic insights, moodboards, project direction, and design guidelines.
• Drive complex digital projects from kickoff through completion within budget and deadlines.
• Build relationships with client decision-makers and collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Mentor designers and contribute ideas that improve the design discipline and company processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design and interactive work for leading brands, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Mastery of Figma, including components, variants, and auto layout.
• Strong experience in visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, and brand development.
• Experience developing and maintaining a robust design system.
• Strong presentation, public speaking, strategic problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
