Principal Presales Engineer, Product Specialist (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Brazil; approximately 15% travel for customer and team meetings.

What you will do

• Partner with sales, solutions engineering, and enterprise strategists on complex, multi-product opportunities.
• Scope, design, and build scalable, secure multi-product messaging architectures and presentations.
• Design and validate conversational AI and LLM-driven solutions integrated through APIs.
• Support value-selling strategies, technical validation, and technical wins throughout complex sales cycles.
• Document customer and prospect technology patterns to influence product strategy, roadmaps, and R&D processes.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing and validating conversational AI or LLM-driven architectures using platforms such as OpenAI or Dialogflow.
• Experience leading presales or solution architecture engagements, including scoping, design, and technical validation in Portuguese and English.
• Strong background in API-based, event-driven systems, including REST APIs and webhooks.
• Working knowledge of Node.js or Python and prior software development or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in messaging platforms, including throughput management, retry strategies, and deliverability optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and collaborate with sales, engineering, and product stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in an overlay or specialist presales role.
• Experience collaborating with Product on roadmaps or positioning.
• Exposure to Twilio products or other CPaaS platforms.
• Business-level Spanish proficiency.
