iOS Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: US remote eligible; must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required, including travel to the San Francisco office for about one week each quarter.

Base pay range: $212,000–$265,000 USD per year, excluding potential bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

What you will do

• Drive projects that improve AI agents across the software development workflow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities to improve developer productivity.
• Lead roadmap projects and deliver reliable, high-quality platform improvements.
• Improve frameworks and developer tooling supporting Airbnb’s iOS application.
• Contribute to tools, build systems, CI, testing, and AI automations across large-scale codebases.

Requirements

• 9+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Experience building reliable developer tooling in Go and maintaining or improving tooling in Ruby.
• Experience leveraging Agentic AI for software development workflows and large-scale migrations.
• Experience improving AI-agent execution time, token efficiency, reliability, and output quality.
• iOS development experience in Swift, including applications, libraries, and frameworks.
• Must be eligible to live and work in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and developing build systems such as Bazel.
