Senior Electrical Engineer (Consumer Electronics)

Location: South Jordan, Utah, USA; in-office five days a week

What you will do

• Design and develop mixed analog and digital circuits for new consumer electronics products.
• Design motor-control circuits for stepper and servo motors, solenoids, sensors, and related systems.
• Develop hardware interfaces for Wi-Fi, USB, Bluetooth, and other wireless communications.
• Specify microcontrollers and board-level components, and create PCB schematics, layouts, and fabrication or assembly files.
• Develop ICT and FCT test plans and ensure products meet FCC, CE, UL, and applicable EMI and safety requirements.
• Oversee electrical production startup and troubleshoot warranty-return issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of digital and analog board-design experience.
• Experience with consumer electronics, especially electromechanical devices.
• Experience with board-level debugging and bring-up, Bluetooth systems, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must work in the office five days per week in South Jordan, Utah, USA.

Nice to have

• RF design experience for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip-down designs.
• Experience with rechargeable battery circuit design and safety.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other troubleshooting equipment.
