Software Development Engineer in Test

Location: Hybrid role open in San Mateo and San Diego, United States

What you will do

• Review product requirements and design documents to create testing strategies.
• Build test plans, write test cases, and execute tests for new and existing features.
• Implement, maintain, and improve test automation scripts and frameworks.
• Report, track, and verify defects while monitoring automation jobs.
• Provide status reports to leadership and key partners.
• Work with infrastructure teams to maintain CI test pipelines and common services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge.
• 3+ years of experience in UI automation for web or native applications.
• Validated experience with the software testing life cycle.
• Experience with centralized and distributed version control systems and CI systems, preferably Jenkins.
• Experience with Selenium or Appium and at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python.
• Strong communication, risk identification, and collaboration skills for working with distributed and culturally diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular, Ember, or React.
• Experience developing or testing phones, game consoles, set-top boxes, or other non-PC devices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Python, Node, or React Native.
• Experience developing or writing test code for a game console.
