Senior Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Moses Lake, Washington, United States; onsite

Salary: $37–$47 per hour, with possible overtime eligibility

What you will do

• Perform inspections, lubrication, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Machine, fabricate, modify, measure, and fit mechanical components using mills, lathes, drill presses, and shop tools.
• Support equipment installation, alignment, commissioning, testing, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machinery performance and implement long-term reliability solutions.
• Maintain repair records, maintenance logs, and parts inventories in CMMS while following OSHA and lockout/tagout requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certifications in industrial maintenance, machining, or mechanical technology are preferred.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, motors, power transmission, wiring, sensors, VFDs, and basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment, and to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, root cause analysis, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime in a production environment and meet physical requirements including respirator use, PPE, lifting with equipment, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• Hands-on machining experience with manual mills, lathes, drill presses, or similar equipment.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, material selection, dimensional tolerances, and precision measurement.
• Experience with welding, metal fabrication, or custom equipment modifications.
• Vocational training or certifications related to industrial maintenance, machining, or mechanical technology.
