Java Web Application Developer

Location: Hybrid at the Support Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA; minimal travel to stores and distribution centers may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and implement business-critical Java web applications and software enhancements.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems, APIs, web services, and cloud environments.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle for new features and system enhancements.
• Use Claude and similar AI-assisted development tools to explore solutions, validate logic, improve documentation, testing, and debugging, and support code quality.
• Conduct system and functional testing and collaborate with business users, project managers, and QA teams to validate solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing Java-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of core Java, Java EE, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with XML and JSON data formats.
• Advanced SQL query-writing experience with MySQL, DB2, and Snowflake.
• Experience with web page design, stylesheets, cloud integrations, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; experience with Claude or similar AI-assisted development tools is required.
