Process Engineer II (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Santa Ana, California, five days per week. Occasional travel to vendors and domestic and international hirify.global facilities is required.

Salary: $79,000–$106,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and develop more efficient, stable, and higher-quality manufacturing processes with Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Validate and implement equipment and document standardized process steps.
• Analyze manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement robust resolutions.
• Identify and implement product, equipment, 5S, Lean, and process improvements across company facilities.
• Test sample parts and machines, prepare engineering reports and presentations, and support equipment repairs and calibration verification.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a similar engineering discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Experience with 5S, Lean, JIT, or Kaizen approaches, as well as equipment vendors and suppliers.
• Familiarity with tooling design and fixturing, advanced Microsoft Excel or similar tools, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work in a deadline-sensitive environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley or Beckhoff systems, plastics welding, ultrasonics, or injection molding.
• Experience with machine vision hardware and software.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices.
• Spanish or Japanese language skills.
