Lead Process & Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Salary: $114,000–$135,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead startup, operational readiness, process qualification, validation, scale-up, and sustained operation of UPE membrane manufacturing processes.
• Develop readiness plans covering equipment qualification, procedures, training, metrology, material readiness, and process controls.
• Provide hands-on engineering support for commissioning, troubleshooting, process characterization, and manufacturing improvements.
• Coordinate technology transfer and process replication with subject matter experts at i2M and other hirify.global locations.
• Create and implement procedures, work instructions, control plans, inspection methods, qualification protocols, validation reports, and QMS documentation.
• Use statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, DOE, SPC, and continuous-improvement methods to improve yield, capability, throughput, reliability, and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, materials science, polymer engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing process development, process engineering, process validation, equipment qualification, technology transfer, or manufacturing startup.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical projects and writing technical procedures, qualification protocols, validation reports, control plans, or other QMS documentation.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, process capability, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Minitab or JMP.
• Ability to work onsite in Colorado Springs and perform hands-on work near manufacturing equipment, with required PPE and cleanroom garments where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with membrane manufacturing, filtration products, polymer processing, advanced materials, specialty chemicals, battery separator film, nonwovens, or continuous-process industries.
• Experience with greenfield manufacturing, scale-up, process replication, roll-to-roll manufacturing, or development-to-commercial transfer.
• Experience with SAP, camLine, EtQ, or comparable manufacturing and quality systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
