Mission Planner (GIS)

Location: Longmont, Colorado office; U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $62,000–$91,300 annually in Colorado, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Monitor and execute tactical near-term collection strategies in support of project and service-level agreements.
• Track data and factory flows from planning and product generation through layout and delivery.
• Perform ground troubleshooting using established procedures and collaborate with Mission Operations Center personnel during anomaly resolution.
• Coordinate with leads, engineers, and other stakeholders when troubleshooting exceeds existing procedures.
• Escalate operational issues to management and technical support teams as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Must be willing and able to work 24/7 rotational shifts.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, geography, remote sensing, GIS, or a related field; four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least two years of project and/or task management experience.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.

Nice to have

• At least one year of Unix/Linux experience.
• Scripting and database knowledge.
• Experience with GIS technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience prioritizing work based on high-level requirements or leading continuous improvement initiatives.
