Legal Systems Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with occasional required business travel to the San Francisco office for team meetings, planning sessions, company events, and in-person collaboration. Availability during agreed working hours and sufficient time-zone overlap are expected.

What you will do

• Design, build, and improve Ironclad intake forms, workflows, approvals, templates, clause libraries, and agreement data.
• Manage Ironclad users, permissions, and SSO while protecting confidential and privileged information.
• Build and maintain integrations between Ironclad, HubSpot, Ramp, Hex, and other business systems using APIs and integration tools.
• Implement automation with monitoring, error handling, retries, and operational visibility.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for turnaround times, backlog, contract value, renewals, expirations, and workflow performance.
• Run testing, stakeholder sign-off, scheduled releases, documentation, and change management across business systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Legal Systems or a similar technical operations role.
• 5+ years of experience building in Ironclad.
• Proficiency with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth.
• Experience building reliable integrations with monitoring, error handling, and retry logic.
• Familiarity with contracts and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Strong ownership, independent execution, and cross-functional communication with Legal, Finance, Sales, and technical teams.
