Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician

Location: Cudahy, WI, USA; onsite, 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Salary: $45–$50 per hour, with additional pay possible based on experience. Sign-on bonus: $2,000.

What you will do

• Install, modify, repair, test, and maintain electrical lines, circuits, controls, fixtures, and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical and electronic components in machinery, conveyors, bindery equipment, and other production systems.
• Connect power supply wiring, cables, programmable controllers, motors, and machine equipment according to electrical codes and technical specifications.
• Diagnose malfunctioning electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components using schematics, manuals, hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Repair or reproduce machine parts using welders, drill presses, and other machine-shop equipment when required.
• Perform all work safely in accordance with OSHA and lockout/tagout standards.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of installing, operating, and troubleshooting sophisticated electrical circuitry, controls, interlocks, and test systems.
• Ability to lay out electrical circuits, wire test setups, install strain-gauge circuits and recording instruments, and verify specified test conditions.
• Ability to quickly identify warning signs and respond to electrical malfunctions to protect equipment and maintain production.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment, schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Knowledge of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
• Applicable licenses or certifications required to perform the work.
