Expert Coach II (Diabetes)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $36–$39 per hour, plus performance bonus and benefits subject to eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide personalized 1:1 coaching and education to help members self-manage chronic conditions and improve health outcomes.
• Assess member skills, knowledge, barriers, and motivation, then apply behavior-change coaching strategies.
• Use a member-centered approach based on Motivational Interviewing.
• For diabetes management programs, deliver evidence-based diabetes education using CDCES knowledge and the ADCES 7 Self-Care Behaviors.
• Support content development, process improvement, clinical knowledge sharing, and up to 30% of approved liaison, project, or cross-functional work.
• Mentor less experienced coaches and facilitate live diabetes-focused learning events when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification required, including current continuing education requirements.
• At least 3 years of professional healthcare experience.
• Experience providing member education and coaching using evidence-based principles.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes science, treatment options, and the ADCES 7 DSME/T education model.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without present or future visa sponsorship required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a health-related field such as behavior, nutrition, or exercise.
• National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach certification.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills.
