Software Infrastructure Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $130,000–$280,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, operate, and improve automated build, integration, testing, and deployment pipelines with Software and GNC teams.
• Design systems for deploying binaries and software artifacts to spacecraft hardware and hardware-in-the-loop test platforms.
• Build deployment workflows supporting software releases and testing at launch and test sites.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and data-analysis capabilities for continuous integration, release readiness, and test operations.
• Maintain containerized environments and infrastructure-as-code automation for CI, HITL, and test-site infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in Software Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or an equivalent scripting or programming language for automation and developer tooling.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman, plus Linux systems, network configuration, and common networking protocols.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining C++ build systems and cross-platform builds using CMake, Make, Bazel, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience designing CI/CD systems for complex build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows.
• Experience supporting cross-platform SDKs, developer-facing releases, versioned artifacts, SBOM generation, or software configuration management.
