Senior Product Designer (E-commerce)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Redwood City, California office, United States

Base salary: $137,000–$192,000 per year, plus potential equity, performance-based incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead complex product design projects end to end, from research and concepts through prototyping, engineering handoff, launch, and iteration.
• Design buyer and seller experiences across native iOS, Android, and responsive web interfaces.
• Define interaction patterns, visual direction, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed specifications for engineering.
• Plan and conduct user research and usability testing, translating findings into design decisions and actionable recommendations.
• Partner with product management, engineering, research, data, marketing, copy, and product leadership to align user goals, product strategy, and business KPIs.
• Lead multi-designer projects, facilitate workshops, mentor junior designers, contribute to recruiting, and improve design systems and workflows.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of product design experience, including end-to-end UX work from research through prototyping, iteration, and post-launch feedback.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex interfaces designed from scratch for native mobile and responsive web, with strong interaction and visual design skills.
• Hands-on experience planning and running user research and usability testing.
• Strong knowledge of native iOS and Android components and patterns, plus fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
• Experience contributing to design systems, using metrics and qualitative feedback, and breaking projects into user stories.
• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills, with experience mentoring designers and providing constructive feedback.

• Experience with two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or social and community products.
• Interest in fashion, resale, or sustainability.
• Experience using AI tools for concepting and prototyping or designing AI-powered features.
• Motion design, illustration, or front-end prototyping skills.
