Software Engineer, Professional II (C# .NET)

Location: Hybrid in Montreal, Canada; onsite at least 3 days per week at the Saint-Laurent location

Salary: CAD 82,000–123,000 annually, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, upgrade, and maintain software modules for a visual programming tool used in machine vision inspections.
• Build high-performance backend software in C# .NET and integrate software with advanced hardware.
• Contribute to the React-based web frontend and improve system execution consistency and throughput.
• Participate in code reviews, document software functionality, and execute software tests.
• Review test results, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions to complex technical issues.
• Recommend tools and improvements that enhance team productivity, software performance, and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience.
• Professional experience developing backend software systems with C# .NET.
• Experience with React-based frontend development is an advantage.
• Fluent French and English communication skills are required, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work onsite at least 3 days per week in Saint-Laurent, Montreal, Canada.
