Technical Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York or Toronto

Salary: $100,000–$130,000/year

What you will do

• Own and mature global TechOps capabilities across security operations, endpoint management, identity, networking, resilience, and service management.
• Investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents involving endpoints, identities, email, collaboration tools, and access layers.
• Manage Windows and macOS endpoint security, MDM, vulnerability remediation, patching, encryption, application deployment, and compliance reporting.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, SCIM, identity protection, and Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes.
• Troubleshoot and improve secure connectivity across DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, Wi-Fi, certificates, TLS/SSL, and Zscaler.
• Maintain audit-ready controls and documentation while coordinating operational work through Jira and Jira Service Management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Security Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS endpoint management, MDM platforms, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong practical networking and troubleshooting knowledge across DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, NAT, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, Wi-Fi, certificates, and TLS/SSL.
• Experience with Zscaler or comparable secure access platforms, vulnerability management, patching, security baselines, and remediation tracking.
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, and/or PCI DSS controls, audit requirements, and regulated environments.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, plus experience with APIs, workflow automation, Jira, or comparable ITSM platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Purview, DLP, information protection, and data classification.
• Exposure to PAM, identity governance, cloud security across Azure, AWS, or GCP, and Vanta or similar compliance platforms.
• Experience with office network design, ISP management, and resilient connectivity.
