Cloud Network Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Toronto, Canada

Salary: CAD 120,000–150,000 per year, plus bonus and paid time off.

What you will do

• Define and evolve cloud network architecture standards, patterns, and processes across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Lead cloud connectivity strategy, including B2B private interconnects using Megaport Virtual Edge and Equinix Network Edge.
• Partner with business units to embed cloud network requirements into new systems and applications.
• Collaborate with Cloud and Network Engineering teams to trial and deploy infrastructure and tooling.
• Evaluate emerging cloud networking technologies and align network architecture with infrastructure, security, identity, and application strategies.
• Support automation, observability, telemetry, performance, scalability, and security across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and deploying cloud network infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with Azure as the primary platform.
• Experience leading cloud network transformation initiatives and translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Deep expertise in Azure Virtual WAN, Private Link, ExpressRoute, Route Server, AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPC peering, GCP VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, and Shared VPC.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, traffic engineering, SD-WAN, SASE, VXLAN, NSX-T, FortiGate, Fortinet SD-WAN, F5 Distributed Cloud, F5 LTM/GTM, Megaport MVEs, and Equinix Fabric Edge.
• Experience with network automation and orchestration using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines, plus observability and telemetry integration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
