Senior IT PMO Analyst (IT Governance)

What you will do

• Coordinate incoming IT initiatives and evaluate them against policies, procedures, governance criteria, and approval requirements.
• Guide requestors, partner agencies, and stakeholders on technology intake, service tiers, project planning, and governance pathways.
• Monitor initiatives through reviews and decision points, resolve bottlenecks, document compliance, and maintain executive portfolio visibility.
• Develop and maintain governance processes, intake forms, workflows, templates, and guidance materials.
• Identify delays and unnecessary handoffs, supporting the standardization and automation of routing, notifications, approvals, and status tracking.
• Provide training, coaching, and consultation on project management methodologies to improve organizational maturity.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in IT project management, PMO operations, or technology governance.
• High school diploma or GED; additional relevant experience or a degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field is valued.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, techniques, and governance frameworks.
• Experience managing project portfolios, intake workflows, and stakeholder review processes.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, relationship-building, strategic thinking, and conflict-resolution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in state, municipal, or heavily regulated public-sector IT governance environments.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, CSM, or ITIL.
