North America NWC Application Engineer (Network Components)

Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky, United States; approximately 25% travel to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, industry events, and other company locations.

What you will do

• Provide technical and application engineering support for Network Components customers, Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and R&D.
• Translate customer requirements, specifications, bids, and technical proposals into feasible, competitive, and manufacturable product solutions.
• Support product development, validation, qualification, optimization, industrialization, and speed-to-market initiatives.
• Resolve customer and manufacturing technical issues through root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Support the Lebanon facility and domestic and international production locations with technical documentation, product and process transfers, and implementation.
• Participate in customer technical meetings, business reviews, training, product guidance, and best-practice standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in telecommunications, connectivity, network components, wire and cable, fiber optics, copper connectivity, or engineered-product manufacturing.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with experience analyzing technical problems and developing practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, product requirements, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, project management, and cross-functional work in manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, computer, and Microsoft Excel skills, with willingness to travel approximately 25%.
