Head of Global Procure to Pay (P2P)

Location: Based in the Newton, Massachusetts office with in-person work three days a week or more; flexibility to work from home or remotely on other days.

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Lead the global accounts payable and procure-to-pay function across US, EMEA, and APAC entities.
• Oversee invoice intake, approvals, coding, payment schedules, employee expenses, vendor onboarding, and supplier relationships.
• Manage a geographically dispersed AP team, including workload distribution, resource allocation, coaching, and development.
• Maintain SOX controls, segregation of duties, audit readiness, tax compliance, payment accuracy, and fraud prevention.
• Drive process standardization, automation, e-invoicing, touchless processing, KPIs, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead AP system implementations and collaborate with IT, finance, procurement, and senior leadership on transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a global accounts payable function and geographically dispersed teams across the US, UK, and APAC.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, global payments, multi-currency transactions, and regional compliance requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar, plus AP automation tools.
• Experience maintaining SOX compliance, internal controls, 1099 reporting, and VAT/GST requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• At least 7 years of experience in a global management role is preferred, along with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

• Experience in a shared services environment.
• Project management experience in system implementation or process transformation.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across US, EMEA, and APAC regions.
