Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Location: San Jose, California, with a secondary office location in Irvine, California. The role is based at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters.

Salary: $184,500–$246,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead preparation and filing of periodic SEC reports, including financial statements, notes, MD&A, Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, proxy materials, and other reporting obligations.
• Coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews with the independent registered public accounting firm and internal business functions.
• Partner with investor relations on financial presentations and collaborate with accounting, tax, treasury, legal, HR, IT, and operations.
• Monitor SEC and FASB developments, assess their impact, and implement accounting, disclosure, process, and system improvements.
• Act as the global technical lead for strategic transactions and present information to the Audit Committee.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years of overall experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including hands-on experience with Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, proxy, and related SEC filings.
• Active CPA license.
• 6+ years of demonstrated team management experience.
• Experience with capital market transactions, comfort letters, multinational operations, and multiple currencies.
• Experience implementing accounting pronouncements, process and system automation, and cross-functional projects; solid knowledge of Oracle ERP and Workiva.
