Member of Technical Staff, Backend (AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs for production applications and conversational AI platforms.
• Build and operate distributed systems for real-time data processing, workflows, and application integrations.
• Develop cloud-based and containerized infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Implement data storage, retrieval, and caching solutions using relational and non-relational databases.
• Develop internal tools, pipelines, and automation for continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor performance, resolve production issues, participate in incident response and on-call rotations, and document architecture and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering or backend systems development.
• Experience developing and maintaining backend services and APIs for production applications.
• Experience designing distributed systems, working with relational or non-relational databases, and deploying backend systems in cloud-based or containerized environments.
• Experience monitoring, debugging, and resolving production software issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A Master’s degree and three years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.
