Staff Data Architect (AI)

Location: Chicago, IL — Chicago/Aon Center

Base salary: $120,800–$151,000 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Execute data architecture strategy, lifecycle frameworks, and standards for the North America Supply Chain function.
• Design source, insight, global, semantic, and reusable data models for BI, AI, and decision intelligence use cases.
• Design and build Snowflake Semantic Views with governed business metrics, dimensions, and relationships.
• Partner with Data Engineering to create trusted, documented, quality-assured AI-ready data products for GenAI, ML, and agentic applications.
• Configure Cortex Agents using Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Semantic Views to support conversational and agentic analytics.
• Design lakehouse architecture with robust data access controls and security while collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, reusable data models and data products.
• Strong background in data warehouse and lakehouse implementation, including logical, physical, and conceptual ERD modeling.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERWIN or ER/Studio.
• Experience with data engineering orchestration frameworks, ELT tools, and Python libraries such as dbt, pandas, and Great Expectations.
• Experience designing semantic models or Semantic Views and familiarity with Snowflake Cortex or comparable conversational AI platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and explain complex concepts to executive stakeholders; knowledge of Agile, Jira, Confluence, and ERP tools such as SAP, OTM, O9, or OMP.
