Experienced Hardware Engineer (Embedded Hardware)

What you will do

• Design embedded hardware and collaborate with software engineers to meet product specifications.
• Read electronic component datasheets and schematics for microcontroller-based designs.
• Provide engineering support throughout design development and the product lifecycle.
• Assist production with alternate component selection to address supply-chain needs.
• Support contract board manufacturers, production, and product management.
• Modify prototypes through fine-pitch soldering and troubleshoot hardware issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Cadence systems experience.
• 3+ years of experience with RS485 networks, Ethernet, microcontrollers, USB, and 24VAC power supplies.
• Experience with IMX8, MSP430, analog and digital I/O, relays, transducers, and resistive temperature sensors.
• Prototype soldering skills for package sizes down to 0201, plus strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; current or future sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Linux and Windows experience.
• HVAC/R industry experience with compressors, fans, valves, or similar equipment.
