Operations Manager I (Logistics)

Location: Hereford, Texas; onsite office and warehouse environment

Salary: $77,200.00–$100,333.33 per year

What you will do

• Lead all operations of a fulfillment center supporting receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory control, and facility maintenance.
• Design and implement facility plans that improve cost, quality, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and develop a fulfillment center team of approximately five employees, including training, performance management, staffing, and employee relations.
• Analyze productivity reports, dashboards, receiving activity, and inventory data to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Federal, State, and Local requirements, including FDA, EPA, DOT, OSHA, EEO, and AAP standards.
• Support fulfillment center network activities, vendor relationships, special projects, and quarterly meetings and training; participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, distribution, fulfillment logistics, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of supervisory experience and 5 years of leadership responsibility.
• At least 3 years of ERP experience; SAP experience is preferred.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment, lift and carry up to 55 pounds, and participate in team lifts for loads from 56 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to complete CPR and First Aid training upon hire and participate in quarterly travel and on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• Warehouse leadership and logistics operations experience.
• Experience with SAP EWM, inventory systems, financial controls, budgeting, capital requests, and operational planning.
• Knowledge of computerized order and inventory systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
