Senior Network Engineer

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and support SDWAN and remote-site network solutions across hirify.global and its subsidiaries.
• Plan capacity for switching, routing, transmission, and signaling, and evaluate the impact of site growth on remote services.
• Develop scalable Layer 2/Layer 3 WAN, cloud, data center, and multi-platform network architectures.
• Optimize network performance, resiliency, availability, resource utilization, and security.
• Provide cloud network design, engineering, and administrative support for physical and virtual networking devices.
• Lead complex projects, manage vendors, establish operational programs, and participate in on-call and implementation activities, including nights and weekends when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field, or 4+ years of industry experience combined with relevant certifications.
• 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting SDWAN architectures and 4+ years of technical network engineering experience.
• 3+ years of project leadership experience and experience managing complex, multi-organizational projects.
• Experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 architecture, WAN technologies, BGP, large-scale remote environments, Cisco equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, QoS, VPN, IPS, and network security.
• Network engineering certification such as CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, AASX, or equivalent.
• Successful eQIP certification background check required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Python, Ansible, infrastructure as code, CI/CD network automation, and experience with Terraform or similar tools.
• Practical use of AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot for network engineering and automation.
• Experience with AI agents, orchestration frameworks, MCP-style gateways, and network API integrations.
• Knowledge of zero-trust networking, segmentation, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, hybrid cloud connectivity, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Agile, ITSM, strict change control, and change management processes.
