Power Transformer Control and Wiring Design Engineer (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Candidates outside Charlotte must be willing to relocate; relocation assistance may be provided.

What you will do

• Design control panels for large power transformers in line with applicable industry standards.
• Create wiring diagrams, cabinet layout drawings, and schematics for customer approval and production.
• Order wires, terminal blocks, monitoring instruments, and other design-related components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot control panel issues and support field service teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, customer communication, and internal stakeholder coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Eplan or similar control wiring design software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• 2+ years of control panel and wiring design experience for medium or large power transformers preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
