Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite role with 20% domestic travel to hirify.global and customer sites.

What you will do

• Lead the electrical scope for proposals and projects across the Americas region.
• Assign work to electrical design teams and provide supervision and technical expertise.
• Ensure electrical deliverables meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Contribute technical input to the development of electrical design standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and outsourcing partners and evaluate additional engineering partners.
• Define execution models, monitor performance, and improve electrical engineering processes.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree and PE status, or active pursuit of PE status.
• Proven electrical power engineering design experience in the process design industry.
• Experience with 1–10 MW induction and synchronous motors.
• Experience specifying and procuring low-, medium-, and high-voltage switchgear, power transformers, and power electronics including LCI systems, VSDs, and thyristor controllers.
• Ability to use power-system analysis software such as SKM Powertools or ETAP.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and a strong commitment to learning, improvement, and delivery quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with motors larger than 10 MW.
