Procurement Operations Buyer

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Support procurement activities across multiple commodities and technologies.
• Identify and onboard vendors, manage purchase requisitions, and oversee purchase orders.
• Communicate supplier policies, design standards, budgets, cost targets, and quality expectations.
• Negotiate contracts with low-risk suppliers and manage day-to-day supplier operations.
• Execute risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and procurement operations strategies.
• Train and support internal teams on procurement processes while contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in procurement, category management, operations, or a related field, or an advanced degree with limited experience.
• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.
• Experience or knowledge of Excel, SAP applications, ERP, invoicing, finance, accounting, KPIs, and cost reduction.
• Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.

Nice to have

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management certification.
• Project Management Professional certification.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management certification.
