Senior Process Engineer (CVD)

Location: Fully onsite at Fab9 in Essex Junction, Vermont, United States. Monday-Friday daytime schedule with up to 10% travel.

Salary: $69,000-$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Own and sustain CVD module processes to meet quality, yield, cost, and cycle-time objectives.
• Develop and qualify new CVD processes, tooling, and materials for dielectric and conductive films.
• Partner with equipment engineering and maintenance teams to improve process capability and tool performance.
• Analyze process data and drive continuous improvement and yield-enhancement initiatives.
• Support new technology development and transfer into manufacturing.
• Create standard work documentation and training materials while collaborating across manufacturing, integration, characterization, and development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2-3 years of semiconductor process engineering or related experience.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of CVD and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead projects, take initiative, and drive solutions to technical problems.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing methods, including 5S, structured problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, and etch.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or materials science.
• Four or more years of relevant semiconductor experience and advanced knowledge of CVD tooling and processes.
• Advanced understanding of Lean manufacturing methods, including TWI.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and hirify.global systems in Essex, Vermont.
• Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
