Intern - Industrial Engineer - Spring or Summer 2027

Location: On-site in Devens or Somerville, Massachusetts, United States. Occasional nights, weekends, on-call work, or travel may be required.

Salary: $25–$38 per hour, depending on the intern’s current year in school. BS interns: $25–$32 per hour; MS/PhD interns: $35–$38 per hour.

What you will do

• Support process improvement initiatives across production areas.
• Conduct time studies, collect data, and analyze processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Assist with production floor layouts, material flow, and workspace optimization.
• Work on specific technical projects based on the needs of the assigned team.

Requirements

• Pursuing an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Prior Industrial Engineering internship experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, data analysis, time studies, and process mapping.
• Experience with AutoCAD; Google Suite experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, self-motivation, and execution skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
