Overnight Clinical Communication Specialist

What you will do

• Relay urgent and non-urgent medical results between radiologists, referring physicians, and healthcare providers across multiple hospital systems.
• Ensure critical findings, STAT reads, and pertinent positive results reach the appropriate healthcare professional.
• Facilitate timely call transfers and direct communication between referring physicians and radiologists.
• Resolve communication issues and support patients, physicians, technologists, and radiologists.
• Answer general reporting-related questions within approved guidelines while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of radiology technology experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record and Picture Archiving and Communication System platforms.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to multitask, work independently, and manage priorities with urgency.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferred; a bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
