What you will do

• Analyse the existing knowledge base, including content volume, ownership, age, duplication, structure, and tagging quality.
• Assess 100–200 pilot articles and produce scored findings, remediation profiles, and corpus-wide recommendations.
• Analyse search logs and user behaviour to identify zero-result queries, relevance issues, vocabulary gaps, and synonym requirements.
• Design a taxonomy, metadata model, content structure, and search configuration for Genesys Cloud AI retrieval.
• Validate taxonomy, tagging, faceted search, and AI answer quality during proofs of concept.
• Define content governance and transfer the model to the client’s content team through documentation and working sessions.

Requirements

• Master of Library and Information Science, an equivalent information science qualification, or comparable training.
• 5+ years of experience in taxonomy design, metadata modelling, information architecture, enterprise search, or related information science work.
• Experience delivering taxonomy and metadata models for production content environments.
• Practical experience analysing enterprise search behaviour, search logs, zero-result queries, and relevance failures.
• Knowledge of taxonomy and metadata standards including SKOS, Dublin Core, ISO 25964, and schema.org.
• Eligible to obtain and hold a Government of Canada security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Genesys Cloud or comparable knowledge platforms such as Salesforce Knowledge, ServiceNow Knowledge Management, or Zendesk Guide.
• Experience preparing content for AI, retrieval-augmented generation, or virtual-agent consumption.
• Experience evaluating AI answer accuracy, attribution, and retrieval failure modes.
• Government, public sector, or academic library experience, including plain-language, WCAG, or records-management work.
• Bilingual English/French skills or experience with KCS methodology.
