Business Development Associate (Gaming)

Location: Remote work is currently available only in eligible US states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. Candidates local to Troy, New York may work in a hybrid arrangement.

Salary: $45,000–$60,000 estimated annual base salary, plus commission opportunities.

What you will do

• Research prospective clients across the games and media industries, including their products, news, technical challenges, and decision-makers.
• Evaluate prospect fit, document research findings, and identify timely, verifiable reasons for outreach.
• Draft personalized cold emails and follow-ups for review while maintaining accurate CRM and outreach records.
• Identify and verify relevant contacts without making unsupported assumptions.
• Capture meeting notes, track action items, and support leadership with research and document preparation.
• Turn engineering and project notes into polished client case studies.

Requirements

• Strong written and oral English proficiency is required for regular communication with colleagues, clients, partners, and third parties.
• Strong writing, research, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to learn technical concepts and explain backend systems and scale clearly.
• Passion for and understanding of the gaming industry.
• Prior experience in sales, business development, marketing, recruiting, outreach, or related internships.
• Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools such as HubSpot or Apollo, plus Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Experience writing marketing copy, journalism, blog posts, technical documentation, or other audience-focused content.
• Experience in both startup-like environments and larger companies.
• Learning agility and a clear, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
