Principal Test Hardware Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; on-site role with collaboration across US and Asia time zones.

Base pay: $150,680–$225,700 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and equity plans.

What you will do

• Drive the test hardware NPI process from development and ordering through delivery and validation.
• Design and support test hardware for multiple hirify.global product groups as part of the PCB engineering organization.
• Optimize supplier performance and test hardware spending while developing strategic supplier partnerships.
• Lead test hardware technology reviews and roadmaps aligned with product requirements.
• Evaluate industry solutions and select optimal technical and business solutions for each product.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers, procurement, suppliers, and worldwide test operations teams on requirements, schedules, and project status.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 10–15 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree/PhD with 5–10 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of test hardware development, manufacturing processes, and hardware design, development, and support.
• Strong knowledge of probe technology and experience with automated IC test equipment, wafer probers, and auto test handlers.
• Experience collaborating with vendors, procurement, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking, team-oriented environment and drive projects to timely completion.
• Must be able to work on-site in Santa Clara and across US/Asia time zones.

• Strong technical program management experience.
• Knowledge of probe cards, sockets, load boards, and change kits.
