Principal Hardware Engineer

Location: San Jose, California, USA; onsite

Annual base salary: USD 143,800–230,000

What you will do

• Lead a hardware design team developing and delivering ultra-high-performance electronic products.
• Own critical elements of electrical engineering hardware design, including bills of materials, circuit design, and board design.
• Develop and validate product ranges from inception through volume production.
• Support customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining after shipment.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers.
• Work with partner engineering teams and cross-functional groups including Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Experience placing large, high-powered SoCs using advanced 2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memory packaging technologies.
• Deep understanding and experience with PCB board layout.
• Experience owning complex products throughout the lifecycle, from product inception to volume production.
• Must work onsite in San Jose, California, USA.
