ServiceNow CSM Principal Engineer

What you will do

• Serve as the senior technical authority and Technical Owner for Customer Service Management and scoped applications within the ServiceNow platform.
• Design, build, configure, and evolve workflows, integrations, data models, APIs, and reporting capabilities.
• Make technical decisions covering solution architecture, implementation quality, performance, security, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Align solutions with enterprise architecture and platform governance while managing technical debt and promoting reusable patterns.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools across the software development lifecycle with appropriate quality and security guardrails.
• Coach engineers through code reviews, design discussions, documentation, demonstrations, and hands-on pairing.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
• Significant hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, especially CSM and scoped application design.
• Experience owning end-to-end technical decisions for a product or squad.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including server-side and client-side scripting, debugging, security, and performance considerations.
• Experience building secure REST and GraphQL integrations with third-party systems.
• Experience applying AI coding assistants and agentic tools across the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CSM.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and maintenance.
