Staff Product Manager (Platform Telemetry and FinOps)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Employment requires authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Base salary: $197,000–$295,500 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the observability and telemetry strategy for the Workbench platform.
• Establish product metrics covering user engagement, platform adoption, and feature utilization.
• Manage budgets, forecast platform spend, and optimize costs across multi-cloud infrastructure, AI model training, inference, and technical operations.
• Lead end-user support, technical documentation, and self-service content for researchers, data stewards, and administrators.
• Partner with engineers, data analysts, and designers to build telemetry pipelines, cost-tracking dashboards, and integrated support tools.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across finance, engineering, customer success, and clinical informatics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading the definition, development, and maintenance of multi-tenant platform systems.
• Experience leading designers, engineers, and clinical informaticists in an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience defining, instrumenting, and analyzing product telemetry using product analytics and BI tools such as Pendo and Looker.
• Experience managing technical budgets, forecasting spend, and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with GCP, AWS, NVIDIA Cloud, and Azure.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare technology, bioinformatics, or Trusted Research Environments.
• Understanding of AI/ML operational costs, including training, fine-tuning, inference, and token-based billing.
• Familiarity with billing, chargeback, or platform telemetry pipelines.
