TL;DR
Manager LER - UK (Labor and Employee Relations) (Life Sciences): Managing employee relations cases and providing guidance on employment policies, procedures, and legislation with an accent on investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, workforce reductions, and works council consultations. Focus on coordinating complex labor relations matters, analyzing case trends, and mitigating compliance and organizational risks across UK operations.
Location: Remote in the United Kingdom; travel up to 25% required

What you will do
- Advise HR and business leaders on employee relations matters, policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Manage investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievance hearings, and workforce reduction activities.
- Support information and consultation processes with works councils and employee representative bodies.
- Develop and maintain employee relations policies, procedures, toolkits, and standard work.
- Coordinate labor and employee relations matters with the LER Center of Excellence, Compliance, Legal, operating companies, and employee representatives.
- Maintain case data and reporting, analyze trends, and identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Juris Doctor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in labor and employee relations, HR business partnering, employment law, or a related HR discipline.
- Experience managing investigations, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, and workforce reductions.
- Experience working in a unionized environment or with works councils and other employee representative bodies.
- Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Ability to work remotely from the United Kingdom and travel up to 25%.
Nice to have
- Employee relations experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience preparing and negotiating collective or factory agreements.
- Experience with employee relations case management systems and reporting tools.
