Building Engineer

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, equipment, vehicles, and grounds.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Operate manual and power-driven tools and industry-standard diagnostic equipment.
• Provide concierge-style service to tenants, internal teams, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, safety requirements, and company directives.
• Coordinate or perform contract work such as landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or a related field preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to read plans and prints.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, climb stairs and ladders, and work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
