Program Field Engineer (SATCOM/RF)

Location: Remote in Virginia or Duluth, Georgia, with domestic and international travel of up to 50% and on-site field support.

Salary: $98,000–$155,000 annually; $121,500–$182,500 annually for specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area.

What you will do

• Install, integrate, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and sustain SATCOM, RF, antenna, network, and ground infrastructure systems.
• Diagnose complex system anomalies, equipment failures, and mission-impacting outages, providing remote and on-site technical support.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, system upgrades, depot repairs, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Support system integration, verification, validation, acceptance testing, certification, and modernization deployments.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, supply chain, subcontractor, customer, and program leadership organizations.
• Develop technical documentation and deliver training and knowledge transfer to operators, maintenance personnel, and customer support organizations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting SATCOM, RF systems, telecommunications infrastructure, or related field engineering activities.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other mission-critical operational environments.
• Experience installing, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and sustaining communications systems.
• Strong understanding of SATCOM systems, RF equipment, antenna systems, networking infrastructure, and ground systems.
• Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Organization-Level and Depot-Level maintenance of satellite communications and RF systems.
• Experience with RF performance testing, system validation, and industry-standard test equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or Information Technology.
