Data Center Solutions Architect - Sales Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid at any of Vantage’s U.S. locations, including Denver, Colorado; 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Salary: $135,000–$160,000 annually, with the range based on Colorado market data and potentially varying by location.

What you will do

• Design customized data center solutions covering electrical and mechanical infrastructure, power distribution, cooling, redundancy, life-safety systems, and facility design.
• Act as a subject matter expert on data center infrastructure, building systems, and white-space fit-outs.
• Engage clients, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership from initial concept and design through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Evaluate technologies, lead proof-of-concept initiatives, and oversee solution testing for performance, security, and reliability.
• Support pre-sales activities through client presentations, proposals, RFP responses, solution blueprints, cost estimates, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in customer-facing technical or sales engineering roles supporting electrical and mechanical data center solutions during pre-sales and early project phases.
• Experience with telecom and networking, plus proven experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions in the data center or technology industry.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, project management, organization, communication, analytical skills, and problem-solving.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable and reliable technical solutions while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Up to 5% travel is expected and may increase as the business evolves.
