TL;DR
Senior RF Signal Processing Engineer (DSP/RF): Developing electromagnetic warfare sensing systems that detect, identify, track, and geolocate RF emissions with an accent on advanced DSP algorithms, I/Q data, SDR integration, and spectrum sensing. Focus on implementing signal-processing algorithms, integrating them with RF and SDR hardware, and executing field demonstrations for distributed spectrum sensing systems.

Location: Hybrid on-site in Hawthorne, California or Washington, D.C.; on-site work required 3–5 days per week. Periodic travel of up to 30% is required.

Base salary: $180,000–$230,000 per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and refine DSP algorithms to detect, identify, and track RF signals.
  • Help transform passive radar systems into distributed spectrum-sensing systems.
  • Work with recorded and synthetic I/Q data for signal-processing development.
  • Integrate and test signal-processing software with RF/SDR hardware and host-processing platforms.
  • Support algorithm modeling, software integration, and field demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with Spectrum Sensing, Business Development, Production, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant development experience with RF sensing systems and advanced signal-processing techniques.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of FFT analysis, matched filtering, and cyclostationary analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB for algorithm development and integration.
  • Experience with software-defined radios, signal-processing toolkits, and recorded or synthetic I/Q data.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • M.S. degree in a relevant technical field or a current U.S. security clearance.
  • Expertise in cyclostationary processing, electromagnetic spectrum sensing, signal classification, or communication waveforms.
  • Experience with machine learning for signal classification, tactical applications, or RFSOC hardware.
  • Experience in DoD, military, or government environments and with JIRA or Confluence.
